Electrician in Montclair, NJ
Trapani Electric is a licensed electrician in Montclair, NJ. We replace knob-and-tube wiring, rewire Victorian and Craftsman homes carefully, upgrade panels, and handle emergency repairs.
Rewiring Montclair's Historic Homes
Montclair has some of the best-preserved Victorian and Craftsman housing in New Jersey, and behind much of that plaster is wiring that predates the second world war. Knob-and-tube runs and cloth-insulated cable are common here, particularly in Upper Montclair and the streets around the historic districts.
Trapani Electric rewires those houses while preserving what makes them worth owning. Erik plans runs through existing chases and closets where he can, works around original trim and plaster rather than through it, and coordinates with your contractor when access genuinely cannot be avoided.

What Customers Say
If you want a white glove, top notch, professional electrician this is who you need. Caught a bunch of safety issues that were overlooked on other inspections. Prices are fair and he's honest and to the point!
Erik came over a few weeks ago to adjust some outlets for me. He took the time to understand what I needed and was able to clearly walk me through my options. He was down to earth, kind, respectful, and professional. Will definitely hire him again as needed.
After a storm damaged our outdoor wiring harness, we hired Erik to fix the issue. He did an outstanding job, demonstrating thoroughness and expertise. I highly recommend Erik to anyone in need of an electrician.
